Our mission is to provide emotional, practical, and spiritual support to seafarers, ensuring they feel valued, connected, and cared for during their time at sea and in port.

Our work is guided by experienced maritime professionals and dedicated leaders, supported by chaplains and volunteers who work closely with seafarers every day.

Around 1.89 million seafarers work on nearly 74,000 ships worldwide, spending months at sea away from family, friends, and loved ones.

Seafarers deliver over 90% of global goods and fuel. You can support them through donations, corporate partnerships, or volunteering.

Operating in 200+ ports across 50 countries, the mission works day and night, all year round, to assist seafarers wherever they are.

We supports those at sea, helping them cope with loneliness, mental health challenges, and limited connectivity.

A major maritime hub where we provide advocacy and direct welfare support.

One of our oldest centers, offering extensive facilities and family support programs.
The Mission to Seafarers began providing welfare services to seafarers at Jawaharlal Nehru Port Association, Nhava Sheva, Maharashtra, India, through the services of its Chaplain, Revd. Nitin Dethe since July 2014. Mumbai is the main hub of maritime activity in India, with most shipping companies having their offices in the city. This provides Revd. Nitin Dethe with the opportunity to provide advocacy support to seafarers in connecting with the companies and highlighting their issues.
